Arnie Bender

Rabbi Arnie Bender (Ben-Dor in Hebrew) was born in Philadelphia, moved to Israel with his family in 1984 and has been involved in Jewish Education for nearly 50 years.  His professional Jewish educational experience includes work in the United States and in Israel where he has served in a variety of educational and rabbinic settings including his officiating at hundreds of bar and bat mitzvah services.

Since his aliyah, Arnie has been affiliated with Kehillat Yaar Ramot, the only Masorti (Conservative) and pluralistic synagogue in the Ramot neighborhood of Jerusalem and for the last six years at High Holiday services at the Battery Park Synagogue.

Arnie studied at Temple University in Philadelphia and was ordained at the Schechter Institute in Jerusalem
